A warm Christmas spirit!
DINN! wishes everyone to warm up the winter and the spirit with a traditional drink, the DINN! Brule. And since we love everyone at Christmas, there is also a non-alcoholic version! Merry Christmas folks!
The recipe was reinterpreted by the Faravelli wine shop and the recipes handwritten by Perligrafia
DINN! BRULE’
A warm Christmas spirit!
alcoholic version
INGREDIENTS:
“Rosa di Elena” Collestefano, orange peels, nutmeg
black pepper, rose petals cinnamon sticks, star anise and cloves
SERVE HOT!
Cheers
Pour the red wine into a saucepan and add the sugar. Remove the zest from the orange, being careful not to include the white part underneath, which is bitter.
Infuse the peels in the wine; then we add the spices: cinnamon stick, cloves and star anise.
Bring the ingredients to the boil so that the sugar dissolves and the zest and spices release aroma and essential oils. With a long match or a long kitchen lighter, being very careful, ignite the wine; thanks to the alcoholic component it will catch fire and actually become “mulled”.
Wait for the blaze to extinguish itself: at that moment the alcoholic component will be exhausted and the mulled wine is ready. Drain it by filtering it in a colander to collect all the ingredients; then pour the mulled wine into the glasses, leaving some decorative peel if you want. Please note, it must be very hot!
