A remote control that makes more pleasant a daily gesture like lifting a rolling shutter. The challenge with Cherubini was born 3 years ago. After the brand repositioning and the development of the new brand identity that includes all physical and digital touchpoints, it also needs to reinvent the user experience.

| INSIGHT

Good user experience design is always necessary to help people learn, engage and get things done – to keep them coming back and using your product and services. That is the reason why we thought of a pleasant and distinctive use of a common and daily tool such as a remote control.

| IDEA

Each object has to be functional and pleasing to the eye to seduce you. GIRO, the new Cherubini remote control, has simple and sophisticated functions and an innovative and ergonomic design to fit clients needs.

Our goal consisted in transforming a simple electronic device into a premium object that creates value to Cherubini clients not only for its usability – simple and sophisticated – but also for its shape. Through GIRO, the way to manage blinds changes.

| From Industrial Design to User Experience: The heritage and the evolving role of experience-driven design

GIRO is the driver through which Cherubini generates brand awareness because it was conceived for the end consumer in a B2B market. It is the result of a perfect balance between function and aesthetics. Cherubini Tocco Italiano meets the design by creating a new way to live, think and use Cherubini products.

| GIRO BY NAME, GIRO BY NATURE

The new remote control embodies the excellence of Cherubini as an elegant object with an innovative use. It is more than style. Cylindrical shape and the name itself, GIRO,  suggest its intuitive operation and unconventional utilize. A natural movement to make the use of the remote control easy and pleasant.

The newness, as the Italian name suggests, is the rotating far end of the remote control, an element that replaces buttons and revolutionizes the way to manage blinds. Through this natural movement, the usability becomes much simpler, intuitive and enjoyable. Made to be grapped with one or both hands, it reveals better its character when it’s in horizontal position.

TOCCO ITALIANO MEETS DESIGN

An innovative use, a cool shape and attention to detail. Giro is available in three sophisticated shades, light warm gray, blue and burundy, to match harmoniously the interior and become an integral part of the home furnishing.

 

|AN HIGH TECH PACKAGING

Our attention to detail stretches out far beyond the product itself and encompasses the packaging as well. While the latter may seem secondary to most companies, it is more than how a product is nestled comfortably inside a box. Consequently, the user experience is not solely relegated to the device itself, but begins when a consumer picks up the box itself.

 

The way a customer opens a box must be one of the last things a typical product designer would consider. Yet for us, the box merits as much attention as the high-margin electronic device inside. That is the reason why, we have thought of a simple, modern and high-tech pack which differentiates the remote control from other Cherubini products and breaks down the various elements by giving proper attention to all of them.

Besides the usual pack, we also thought of exhibition boxes to allow agents to bring with them the entire product range and present it to the customer in an elegant way.

When it comes to strategy and business, we are there to uphold top-management in making the big decisions, consistently providing an high-quality support. Defined the new brand positioning, it is important to support our customer so that this positioning is well-communicated. We are dealing with all Cherubini marketing activities to improve sales, boost customer base and engage new clients. Last but not least, we work closely with our client to oversee all the digital campaigns – created by Gummy Industries Agency – to establish effective brand driven growth strategies.

 

4.000 view on website, 8.000 view on video, 850.000 people have seen GIRO on industry magazines. These are the first quarter results. In the coming months, we will continue to supervise all Cherubini communication – social media, online advertising – in order to preserve the new Cherubini positioning.
